The Illinois Interactive Report Card is a superb source of information on basic facts about District 211.

First Class Education is a national group that advocates that at least 65% of each education dollar go into the classroom.

In 1999, we put $6309 per student into the classroom. For each student in 1999, District 211 spent another $4473 purely on administration. The percentage of total spending in 1999 that went into instruction was 58.5%.

In 2005, things had taken a definite turn for the worse. District 211 spent $7640 on instruction, and another $5558 per student on administration, for an overall total of $13,198 per student. The percentage of total spending in 2005 that went into instruction was only 57.8%.
