It is certainly a useful resource to have the TSR data quickly available. However, when people extrapolate percentage increases from year to year purely based on changes in numbers without context, it becomes a questionable resource. The Champion’s database does not detail changes in status (positive or negative), coaching stipends, etc. etc. These things are like extra work for extra pay. If the Champion’s data were clearly labeled as total pay including these things and that year to year comparisons aren’t likely to be accurate, it’s validity would be all the better.
